If only you could have been there, like a little fly on the wall, as these incredibly moving and hugely ambitious pieces of unbridled art and love came to life in the socked-in cold of a frigid Canadian new year. From deep beneath the cutting table, in a tangled mess of carefully kept scraps left over from every piece we’d ever made, I had been waiting to dig in one more time. Sun-faded pinks, softened ochres, tattered cross-stitching and loose yarn tails, I knew and remembered every piece. In massive armfuls I let them fall across the cutting table, bearing witness to the quiet conversations that seemed to lead one to another. I followed their lead, felt their pull, and marvelled at just how lucky I was to have been with them along the way between where they had come from and where they were going in this ever-changing world. I hope you love what we have created here, a cozy oversized pullover felt like the right call. Something you could wear a lot, and with ease, over denim, or pjs, with slippers, or sweet heeled boots, and that would warm you in a way few other things could. There are only ten.
