Our Story Dress and its magnificent maximalist silhouette is a haven of these sentiments, and an everlasting embrace of the love and warmth we believe lives on in the humble, hand-stitched textiles of the past. A work of sacred salvage that resides at the heart of Honeybea and a creative process of textile harmony that takes us years to pollinate, we are overflowing with awe as we witness the journey of this collection finally come to completion.

Our Story Dress is a billowy, three-tiered silhouette with deep pockets, folkloric lantern sleeves, floral printed cuff and neckline ruffles and an endearing tie closure. 

Made in a delightful bouquet of responsibly salvaged hand-stitched patchwork from the late 19th to 20th century teeming with rare antique calicos, ragdoll florals, Depression Era feed and flour sacks and early Mennonite wools and wovens, each dress is a one of a kind heirloom textile masterpiece, combined with curated vintage and contemporary cottons assembled piece by piece across our studio work table. 

Although we take the utmost care when sourcing, restoring and assembling our textiles, signs of age, wear and existence hold stories of the past that deserve to be honoured and embraced. We hope you will find peace and purpose in the mending and maintaining of this and all very dear and special treasures.
