Description
As always, but in this case more than ever, our remarkable heirloom patchwork County Dress is all about the fabric. Made of historical, unfinished hand stitched quilts, we are spoiled with the labour and legacy of unknown hands and places. With the most beautiful antique cotton you just can’t get anymore and the intricacy of true slow craft, each achingly special dress is one of one, with its own unique story and soul. Cut and sewn in a billowing one size silhouette with an abundance of gathers, puffled balloon sleeves and deep pockets, the County Dress is a spectacular textile treasure made to be worn and carried from place to place with endless joy and ease.
Made With Love in Toronto Since 2003.
More
A one size silhouette with elasticated sleeves and neckline that can be worn on or off the shoulder.
Our County Dress is carefully constructed with serged interior seams and clean finished hems. The original patchwork has been stitched by hand in the early 1900s with the raw edges preserved and exposed on the inside of the garment.
Please keep in mind that while our antique and vintage textiles have been carefully handpicked one by one, signs of age, wear and fading are symbols and life and time that we cherish. Mending and care are to be embraced.
Due to the limited nature of our salvaged heirloom pieces, all sales are final.
